Mosaic SOC 2 Compliance 2023: Continuing the Effort to Serve Our Customers
Adam Landefeld
Head of Product
In 2022, we announced a major step in building trust with the Mosaic customer base — SOC 2 Type II compliance. And today, we continue to formalize by completing a compliance audit in 2023.
A SOC 2 Type II report describes a service organization's systems and whether the design of specified controls meets the relevant trust services categories, and assesses the effectiveness of those controls over a specified period of time. Mosaic's SOC 2 Type II report did not have any noted exceptions and therefore was issued with a "clean" audit opinion from SSF.
Finance’s control over a company’s most sensitive data has always complicated software adoption. So, while sales, marketing, and engineering have seen an explosion of innovative software, finance’s biggest breakthrough has been moving Excel to the cloud in the form of Google Sheets.
Maintaining SOC 2 Type II compliance is a critical part of our effort to change that narrative. It helps finance leaders trust that the data that lives in Mosaic is safe and secure, freeing them up to focus more of their energy on adding strategic insights to the business.
If you’ve ever gone through SOC 2 Type II auditing, you know that it’s no small task. We wouldn’t have been able to reach this point without so many people on our engineering team going above and beyond to make this possible.
I’m proud of the work this team has done and even more excited about what we’re doing to serve customers of all sizes.
